Registered Dietitian
Rehette obtained her BDietetics degree from the University of Pretoria in 2007. She completed her community service year at the Department of Health regional offices in Tshwane. Thereafter, she was appointed as a clinical dietitian at an academic hospital where she worked in various areas in clinical nutrition for 14 years, resigning as Senior Dietitian in 2022. As the allocated dietitian for the medical, surgical and cardiothoracic ICU, her interest in immunnonutrition grew and she obtained her MSc. Dietetics with distinction from the North-West University in Potchefstroom in 2018 focussing on immuno- & pharmaconutrition and research methodology in the adult and paediatric patient populations.
In 2020 she started working in the private sector part time as a locum dietitian tending to in-hospital patients that includes paediatric, intensive care, surgical, oncology as well as neurological and spinal rehabilitation patients.
She is a registered, independent practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She is also a member of the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA), the Nutrition Society of South Africa (NSSA) and the South African Society for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (ESPEN).
Rehette aims at providing integrative nutritional services, bridging the gap between nutrition science and everyday life and has a passion for translating the vast world of nutritional information into practical guidelines that add value to her patients’ health.
THARIEN BEZUIDENHOUT

Tharien completed her BDietetics degree in 2012 at the University of Pretoria. She was then appointed as a community service dietitian at Middelburg Hospital in Mpumalanga where she gained invaluable experience in the Intensive Care and paediatric units. Following this she ventured into the private sector full time, starting her career as private practice dietitian at Kloof Mediclinic. Here she tended to both in-hospital patients as well as outpatients, providing nutritional services to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, renal and liver diseases as well as those with allergies and food intolerances. In the outpatient setting she focussed more on weight loss, PCOS and providing pregnancy support to expecting mothers. During this time she developed a keen interest in allergies and completed her M.Nutrition at the University of Stellenbosch in 2019 focussing on infant and young child nutrition and allergies.
Tharien is a registered practitioner of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She also holds memberships to the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA) and the Allergy Society of South Africa (ALLSA).
Tharien believes good nutrition is a form of self-respect and strives to guide her patients through the journey of eating well to attaining their nutrition and health goals.
